Slavic Almanac is a learned journal accredited by the Department of National Education of the Republic of South Africa. The journal, which appears twice a year, publishes research in all branches of Slavic, Central, Eastern European and Eurasian studies. Original, unpublished research papers are invited from scholars working in the fields of literature, language and linguistics, cultural studies, politics, history and economics of these regions. The journal is also interested in promoting research into Jewish and Yiddish literature and the culture of Ashkemaz in so far as this interrelates with, reflects upon, and responds to, the dominant cultures, societies, politics and history of Central and Eastern Europe. source
